Children ablsolutely love to have pets and pets that are magical are even better. The company Spin Master is putting out a chain of toys called Hatchimals Eggs. Every egg has something different inside and a child will not know what their pet is like until it hatches.

Even on the teaser commercials the company does not show what the animals inside the shell look like. The mystery about what is 'hatching' is going to greatly increase the popularity of these toys with children within a wide age range, even parents will be curious about what is inside. These unique toys will be available on October 7, 2016.

There are a lot of unique features included with the Hatchimals Eggs. There are three different animal names so far, draggles, owlicorn and pengualas. What they look like still remains to be seen but any unusual and cute animal will delight a child. The eggs all come in a variety of colors.


For the owlicorn the eggshell is a mixture of pink and blue. Draggles has two different color shells, one is green and one is purple. As for the pengualas you can get the eggs in either teal or pink. This gives a wide range of color choice since every child likes different colors and with this variety the toy will appeal to both boys and girls.

Since these toys are supposed to be eggs hatching they come with a nest to sit them in. Eventually the eggs will open up so that children can see what their pets look like, but it will take some time and the child will have to watch over the egg. If the child takes the time to watch over a toy in this way then they will understand and be better prepared for the responsibility of a real pet.

Learning Resources Pretend & Play School Set

I purchased the Learning Resources Pretend & Play School set for my youngest daughter, who is starting kindergarten this fall. I absolutely cannot speak more highly of this product - it has been an huge success in our household.

Although the Pretend & Play is advertised for younger children (4-5 years old), I think it is also extremely beneficial for children even a few years older - at least from my personal experience with the product.

My eldest daughter, who loves school and enjoys telling her younger sister (and anyone else who will listen!) all about what she has been learning at school, has really enjoyed playing with the Pretend & Play School set with her sister as well - they've been switching turns acting as little teachers! This makes me an incredibly happy and proud parent on several levels, and with the addition of this toy to our household, my youngest daughter is now getting to tell her older sister all about the new things that she's learning as well - and she is having so much fun while she is doing it, which is an incredible added bonus.

Of course, I have been teaching my daughter as much as I can as well to help her learn and grow, but it is so wonderful for her to have such a marvelous toy through which she can facilitate her own learning. It is such a privilege to hear my daughters talking between themselves about different subjects - numbers, the alphabet, colours, days of the week - and watching my youngest practice what she knows on the dry erase board.

My oldest helps her, telling her about how she uses particular parts of the toy during her actual school days. I know that her practice with the Learning Resources Pretend and Play School set is giving my daughter more confidence for her first day, and also even more excited to finally start school!

As a mother, it is extremely encouraging to know that my daughter is prepared to start school as well. I definitely recommend this to any parent with young children. Although the set says 4-5 year olds, my 7 year old has really loved this set as well, as it includes items like hall passes and grade books that she uses at school, and she loves playing teacher.

I can't decide whether I have more fun simply watching my daughters play with this toy or joining in myself! The girls and I have had so much fun with this toy. I really could go on for ages about how much we have enjoyed this addition to our toy collection. The Learning Resources Pretend and Play School Set has made me one proud mama, and has provided countless hours so far of combined play and learning time for my daughters.

I love surprising my twins from time to time with little toys to keep them entertained, but I have never before purchased one that has been such an instant success with them.

The Hallmark itty bittys Supergirl is beyond cute! My three year old twin girls absolutely love theirs - they each carry theirs around the house and absolutely refuse to leave the house without the dolls. They also insist on showing the dolls to anyone who will listen. The itty bitty Supergirl has quickly become their favourite toy.

Originally, I had only bought one - ideally, for them to share - but they fought over it quite a lot and both loved the doll so much, that I decided I might as well buy one for each of them (I am really not sure that they can tell their dolls apart, but as long as they are both happy because they each have one in their arms, then I am happy too). The price is extremely reasonable as well, so it wasn't an issue to buy a second one.

I had purchased them each a small toy as a fun surprise while we were out shopping one day, but the other toy that I purchased was quickly ignored by the girls as they both loved the Supergirl so much. Of course, I'm not privy to the inner workings of two three year old girls' minds, so I have no idea why they favored this doll so much, but I am really pleased that they love their Supergirls as much as they do.

The fabric on the Supergirl is just so soft to the touch that I thought the girls would like the feel of it on their skin (I sure do!), and I like the idea that they would be playing with a woman who portrays power and ambition, rather than the typical sort of dolls that you tend to see advertised for young girls.

Overall, I am really satisfied with this purchase for my girls. I think it portrays a positive message about femininity and girl power to them, and it is soft, cuddly, and adorable. I would be extremely interested in purchasing more stuffed toys from this collection since my girls have loved this one so much.

The itty bitty Supergirl is as the name suggests - quite small, so it doesn't take up a lot of space. I think it would make a great stocking stuffer for the upcoming holiday season.
